Privacy Policy
This policy explains what we collect when you use drscottkimball.com, take The Summit Map, buy a report or the Field Guide, or contact us about working with Scott. The site is operated by Scalewrights LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("we", "us"), on behalf of Dr. Scott Kimball.
What we collect
- Assessment data. Your answers, your first name and your email address. Your scores and report are generated from these.
- True North answers. If you use True North, the short written reflections you type are stored with your results.
- Purchase data. When you buy a report, an add-on or the Field Guide, payment is handled by Stripe. We receive your email, what you bought and a payment confirmation. We never see or store your card number.
- Contact and team requests. Name, email, company and the message you send through the Work with Scott or For Teams forms.
- Technical data. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) kept by our hosting provider for security and reliability, and one browser setting that remembers your language choice.
How we use it
- To score your answers, build your map and your report, and deliver what you bought.
- To email you your results link and purchase receipts.
- If you opt in, to send occasional notes from Dr. Scott Kimball. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To respond when you ask about coaching, the 90-Day Climb or team work.
- To improve the assessment. We may analyze results in aggregate and de-identified form; no individual is identifiable in that analysis.
Who processes your data
We use a small number of service providers, each bound by their own privacy and security commitments:
- Netlify hosts the site and stores assessment results.
- Stripe processes payments.
- Anthropic provides the AI model that writes your True North narrative from your answers. Your answers are sent for that purpose only and are not used to train Anthropic's models.
- Kit sends email, if you opt in to hear from us.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Team assessments
If you take The Summit Map through a team link, the organization that bought the team package can see the aggregate team map and which members have completed the assessment. Your individual report remains yours.
Your results link
Your results are reachable through a unique link. Anyone with the link can view that page, so treat it like a password. We can regenerate or delete it on request.
Retention
We keep assessment results so you can return to them and retake the map in 90 days to see your change. You can ask us to delete your data at any time. Purchase records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask to see, correct, export or delete the personal data we hold about you. Email scott@scalewrights.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EU, UK or California, the rights under GDPR, UK GDPR and CCPA apply and we honor them.
Cookies
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The site stores your language preference in your browser and nothing else.
Children
The Summit Map is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Not a diagnosis
The Summit Map is a tool for personal growth. It is not a medical or psychological assessment and does not diagnose any condition.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update the date above and, for material changes, note it on the site.
